Austin, Texas, January 9, 2025 – Hanger Clinic is pleased to announce Shane Wurdeman, PhD as its Chief Clinical Officer, leading the company’s Clinical and Scientific Affairs (CSA) team and the Hanger Institute, effective immediately. Wurdeman succeeds James Campbell, PhD, who will focus on his role as President of Hanger Ventures, Hanger’s subsidiary that invests in entrepreneurs and small businesses to bring innovative orthotic and prosthetic (O&P) healthcare solutions to the market.

Wurdeman was previously Hanger’s Vice President of Scientific Affairs. A recognized leader in the profession, he is a Fellow with Distinction of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, serves as the Research Director for the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association, and co-founded the Orthotics and Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research.
