
Chicago, Ill., May 1, 2018 – Last month, 72-year-old James Wellman was fit with the i-limb™ quantum, one of the most advanced microprocessor-controlled hands available in the world. For the first time since the 1992 machinery accident that caused the loss of his right hand, the grandfather and Vietnam War veteran felt that he “has 10 fingers again.” The i-limb quantum has given Wellman more dexterity in his prosthetic hand, making it simpler to complete everyday tasks, like using a knife and fork, and his hobbies, including working on two-way radios.
