New York City, Jan. 29, 2020 – Last week, NBC’s TODAY with Hoda & Jenna spotlighted a unique fashion show held in New York City, where models shared something special in common—they have limb loss or limb difference and are proud to “show their shine.”
Hosted by the Limb Kind Foundation, the fashion show featured models of all ages, including registered nurse and Hanger Clinic patient Nicole Grehn. Nicole became involved with Limb Kind after a rare heart condition led to the amputation of both her legs above-the-knee. Nicole now spends much of her time mentoring others with limb loss and limb difference through organizations like Camp No Limits and the Limb Kind Foundation, and has even volunteered on overseas medical missions to help provide children in need with prosthetic devices.
