AUSTIN, Texas – February 12, 2026 – The Hanger Foundation has awarded its final round of 2025 Empowerment Grants, distributing more than $150,000 to 36 nonprofit organizations that are advancing the Foundation’s mission to help people with physical challenges live life as fully as possible. This round of funding includes both returning partners and first-time recipients, representing a wide range of local and national communities.
Earlier this year, the Foundation committed $150,000 to nonprofits supporting military veterans nationwide, and $120,000 to support Camp No Limits, bringing its total 2025 grant funding to more than $420,000.
“Every year we are inspired by the generosity of our donors and the dedication and commitment of the organizations we are able to provide funding for,” said Hanger Foundation Executive Director Rachel Kubicki. “Their work strengthens communities, expands access to care, and uplifts individuals when they need it most, and we are proud to play a small part in supporting their mission.”
One of the grantees this year, The Limb Preservation Foundation provides support and community for those experiencing life and limb threatening conditions. Through research, patient assistance, and educational programs, they strive to offer hope, resources, and innovative solutions to those in need.
“The Limb Preservation Foundation is deeply grateful for the support of the Hanger Foundation Grant. These funds will go directly to supporting people facing limb loss throughout the Rocky Mountain region covering critical bills during their time of crisis,” said Executive Director Laurie Gillman. “We believe no one should have to choose between paying for treatment and keeping the lights on, and support from partners like the Hanger Foundation allows us to make that a reality for more people every year.”
The Be Perfect Foundation will utilize their grant to support their mission of providing direct financial aid and emotional aid to individuals living with paralysis.
“The support from the Hanger Foundation plays a critical role in allowing the Be Perfect Foundation to continue delivering meaningful program services to individuals living with paralysis,” said Executive Director Hal Hargrave. “This grant directly supports access to vital resources, adaptive equipment, and community-based programs that promote independence, dignity, and long-term quality of life. As we look ahead to 2026, this funding helps us expand our reach and ensure that financial barriers do not prevent individuals from receiving the support they need to move forward with confidence and hope.”
