Global Partners Summit for O&P Students

The invite-only O&P Student track is designed for students aspiring toward a rewarding career in the O&P field.
Attendees must submit an application and receive an invite code to register for this track.
What’s Included:

Application Process:
Students will be invited to submit a white paper of their 2024-2025 Capstone project to their MSPO Director. The MSPO Directors will be forming a committee within their respective institution to review the papers and select two 2nd year students for the option to attend the Global Partners Summit at Hanger LIVE. Selected recipients will also present a poster of their Capstone project at the 2025 Residents meeting. Please contact the University MSPO Director for more information on the application process.
Scholarship Information:
Scholarships are available to those who have been accepted. You will receive more information in your acceptance packet on how to apply for our scholarships.

Doug Reber, L/CO
Director, Education & National Residency
Doug is a licensed, ABC-certified orthotist with four decades of experience in the O&P field. He serves as the Director of Education & National Residency for Hanger Clinic, and is also the lead for Cranial Remolding Procedures. He loves the profession of O&P because it offers an opportunity to help a variety of patients and make lasting impacts, from seeing the smile on a baby’s face during a cranial remolding orthosis appointment to seeing patients walking for the fist time in their new Ankle Foot Orthosis.

Jennifer Widler, MA, L/CPO
Area Clinic Manager
Jennifer is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist and area clinic manager for Hanger Clinic in Kissimmee, Melbourne, and Ocoee, Florida. As an area clinic manager with more than 19 years of experience in the field, Jennifer cares for patients of all ages. She has received specialized training in many areas of the orthotics and prosthetics field, including microprocessor prosthetic technologies, ComfortFlex sockets, C-brace, Walkaide®, stroke management, and sport injury management.
Jason Wening, MS, CPO, FAAOP
Clinic Manager
Jason is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist and clinic manager of the Lincoln Park Hanger Clinic in Chicago, Illinois and serves as the Chicago Area Residency Director. As a clinic manager with more than 17 years of experience in the field, Jason specializes in lower extremity prosthetics including the C-Brace® computer-controlled orthotronic mobility system, knee-ankle-foot orthoses (KAFOs), custom carbon composite ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs), and management of post-polio syndrome (PPS).
Kevin Hagemeier, CPO
Clinician
Kevin is an ABC-Certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic. He entered the field full time in 1984.
Erin O’Brien, CPO, FAAOP
Clinician and Clinical Education Specialist
Erin is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Portland, Oregon. She started with Hanger Clinic in Houston, Texas, more than ten years ago. She enjoys the unique balance provided by the O&P field: She both gets to work with patients and gets to use power tools and her hand skills in the lab to make something that will help someone in their daily life. Erin specializes in care for pediatric patients and for patients with upper limb amputation or limb deficiency. She sees all sorts of different pediatric orthotics patients, including patients with scoliosis, cerebral palsy, and spina bifida.
Michael Hartley, CPO
Jonas Ljung, MSPO, CPO
Clinic Manager
Jonas is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist and clinic manager for Hanger Clinic in Washington, D.C., and Fairfax, Virginia. As a clinic manager with more than 10 years of experience in the field, Jonas specializes in pediatrics and is skilled in lower extremity prosthetics and orthotics. Jonas oversees a clinical and administrative team responsible for the comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic management of patients presenting with a large spectrum of pathologies.
