Washington, D.C., Aug. 15, 2018 – Amanda Flores knew there was only one way she was getting down the aisle to marry her fiancé Frank Bordoy on Aug. 11: walking on her own two prosthetic legs. Since an infection resulted in the loss of both Amanda’s legs above-the-knee and both arms below-the-elbow in early 2015, the mom of two has worked hard to relearn how to walk again and achieve this dream, with the support and love of Frank and her family.

Amanda’s Hanger Clinic prosthetic team, including Bethesda, Md.-based Area Clinic Manager Mike Muratore, National Upper Extremity Specialist Brian Monroe, and Vice President of Prosthetics Kevin Carroll, have also been by her side, fitting Amanda with custom-designed prosthetic devices, including the two microprocessor-controlled knees Amanda used to walk down the aisle on Saturday.

CBS Evening News with Jeff Glor covered Amanda and Frank’s wedding. Watch the full story to learn more about Amanda and Frank’s journey: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/quadruple-amputee-beats-the-odds-to-walk-down-the-aisle/.
