Austin, Texas, April 6, 2018 – We are very proud of all the Hanger Clinic athletes who competed in the 2018 games in Pyeongchang! Your significant achievements are a reminder of the power of human potential, and what is possible through hard work and dedication.
Hanger Clinic athletes achieved success in many areas; below are a couple of their stories:
– Josh Pauls, U.S. Para Ice Hockey Team Captain, led the team to claim their third consecutive gold medal over Canada in a challenging match that went into overtime. This was Pauls’ third time representing the U.S. at this level as a sled hockey defenseman. After returning from Pyeongchang, he spoke to local media in St. Louis about the life-changing experience. – Stephani Victor, Alpine Skier, returned to the games after a crash during the super-G in Sochi in 2014 that looked like it might end her career. Motivated to represent Switzerland on behalf of her husband and coach Marcel Kuonen, Victor made a remarkable comeback in Pyeongchang, placing 6th in the super-G and 4th in the giant slalom. Before the games, Victor spoke to the O&P Almanac about her preparations and goals for Pyeongchang. Read that story here:
