
St. Louis, Mo., April 12, 2018 – Double above-knee amputee and 2018 U.S. Para Ice Hockey Team Captain Josh Pauls returned from the 2018 games in PyeongChang with his third consecutive gold medal, and the drive to continue working to be one of the best at the sport he loves. One of Pauls’ key supporters has been his Hanger Clinic prosthetist Fred Schaumburg, whom Pauls has worked with since moving to St. Louis more than seven years ago. Schaumburg helps ensure that Pauls’ microprocessor-controlled prosthetic knees fit well, which, according to Pauls, “has revolutionized the way I walk.” For his part, Schaumburg is “proud of not only what [Josh has] done with the Paralympics, but what he does in his everyday life.”
