Hanger to Ring New York Stock Exchange Opening Bell in Celebration of Veterans Day

AUSTIN, Texas—Nov. 12, 2018– Hanger, Inc. (NYSE: HNGR), a leading provider of orthotic and prosthetic patient care services and solutions, announced it will ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) today, Nov. 12, 2018, in celebration of Veterans Day.

Hanger’s history dates back more than 155 years when its founder, the first amputee of the American Civil War, invented the first articulating prosthetic knee joint, and was then commissioned by the government to provide prosthetic limbs to other wounded soldiers. Today, the Company operates approximately 800 Hanger Clinic locations across the country, providing prosthetic and orthotic care aimed at empowering human potential.

Mr. Asar will be joined on the NYSE podium by Medal of Honor recipient and former Nebraska Governor and U.S. Senator Bob Kerrey, a Hanger Clinic patient and United States Navy SEAL officer who became an amputee as the result of injuries sustained during the Vietnam War. Hanger associates who have served our country, patients, and members of the Company’s senior leadership team will also be on the podium for the bell ringing.
