Austin, Texas, November 13, 2019 – Last week, South by Southwest (SXSW) announced that more than 600 sessions have been selected for the 2020 conference, including two Hanger panels and a “meet up”. The announcement comes after SXSW’s annual user-generated submission process, PanelPicker, where more than 4,440 entries were narrowed down through public votes and input from SXSW staff and SXSW Advisory members.

From a meet up for the disabilities community, to panels addressing holistic healthcare and the importance of keeping healthcare human, all three Hanger events will feature prominent thought leaders within the healthcare industry and help bring awareness to the limb loss and limb difference community. All three events will take place between March 13 – 18, 2020:

This panel will examine the present and future of innovative holistic patient care, and how two Hanger Clinic patients, Nicole Grehn and Yvonne Llanes, are using their experiences, positive attitude and determination to empower others to reclaim their independence.

Hear from leaders of the patient experience movement from Hanger Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, and Mayo Clinic, and learn how we can have the best of both worlds by extending empathy into the digital age.

Hanger Clinic patients Cameron Clapp and Phillip Schaengold join Ottobock and Hanger at SXSW to create a unique networking opportunity for people with physical challenges.
