AUSTIN, Texas, March 2, 2023 – The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists recognized Hanger Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer Jim Campbell, PhD, CO, FAAOP as the recipient of the prestigious Titus Ferguson Lifetime Achievement Award.
Awarded yesterday during the Academy’s Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium in Nashville, Tennessee, the esteemed honor is the highest recognition for an outstanding academician whose accomplishments and contributions have made a significant impact on the growth and development of the orthotics and prosthetics (O&P) profession.
“Jim’s tenure at Hanger has brought tremendous milestones, from landmark research studies to unmatched clinical education and outcomes, that continue to push the envelope and move our industry forward,” shared Hanger Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Vinit Asar. “He is truly a pioneer in O&P, whose dedication has elevated not only our field, but the entire healthcare profession. Campbell entered the O&P profession in 1976 when he attended Strathclyde University as an undergraduate. In 1988, he started his first position in the United States with the Cleveland Clinic, and in 1994 he returned to his alma mater, where he received his PhD in bioengineering.
