AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 29, 2025 – Hanger is pleased to announce its 12th annual Partner Awards, honoring four outstanding companies that provide exceptional products and services that advance the field of orthotics and prosthetics and improve patient care and outcomes. The Clinical Evidence, Collaboration, Innovation, and Operational Performance award recipients are carefully selected by members of Hanger’s clinical and operational teams.
Below are more details on the awards and this year’s recipients:
Clinical Evidence:
Ottobock was selected for the inaugural Clinical Evidence Award, which recognizes a partner that made a meaningful contribution through evidence-based published research – ultimately improving patient outcomes. In its recent collaboration with the Hanger Institute for Clinical Research and Education, Ottobock measured the impact of microprocessor KAFOs among users of lower limb orthoses and MPKs in the K2 population. This clinical collaboration helped advance the field and propelled outcomes-based care.
Collaboration:
The Collaboration Award is granted to a partner that made outstanding contributions resulting in shared success. This year, Infinite Biomedical Technologies, LLC was recognized for partnering with Hanger on the creation of grants and clinical trials throughout their development of the novel Glide platform – ultimately providing streamlined, cost-effective upper limb pattern recognition technology.
Innovation:
The Innovation Award, which recognizes companies that exhibit expansive thinking in product innovation and technology, resulting in positive clinical outcomes, was given this year to WillowWood. WillowWood was selected because of its innovative META Flow foot, which mimics the function of traditional hydraulic ankle feet without the cost, weight, and durability concerns of hydraulic cylinders – meeting a broad range of needs for a large patient population.
Operational Performance:
College Park received the Operational Performance Award, which recognizes a partner that outperformed industry benchmarks in quality, efficiency, and cost containment. With over 30 years of outstanding customer service, College Park was an early adopter of Hanger’s electronic data interchange (EDI) program, with a 98% adoption rate since inception.
