AUSTIN, Texas – November 11, 2025 – The Hanger Foundation today announced it has awarded $150,000 in Empowerment Grants for the 2026 funding cycle to 36 non-profit organizations focused on providing programs and support to military veterans across the country.
These grants are part of the Foundation’s commitment to supporting veterans with limb loss, limb difference, or other mobility challenges to live life to its fullest.
“Since its founding, the Hanger Foundation has proudly awarded grants to organizations dedicated to serving Veterans,” said Executive Director Rachel Kubicki. “Through our giving strategy, we’ve prioritized key areas within the orthotics and prosthetics (O&P) community where we can create meaningful, lasting change for individuals living with limb loss and limb difference. Supporting Veteran-focused organizations remains a cornerstone of our work.”
One of the organizations receiving funding this year is Catalyst Sports, which was founded when a team of disabled Veterans traveled to Wyoming and climbed the 13,775 ft Grand Teton in 2012.
“With the help of the Hanger Foundation, Catalyst Sports will reach more veterans with life-changing adaptive sports experiences,” said Executive Director Eric Gray. “Their support ensures that every veteran we reach has the chance to rediscover freedom and joy through movement and community.”
